From November 11th to 14th, Lisbon transformed into a hotspot for companies with high growth potential. With over 70,000 participants and 2,600 start-ups and scale-ups, the Web Summit has developed into one of the most significant platforms for future technologies over the past 15 years.
ecoplus, the Business Agency of Lower Austria, participated in this world-leading international tech conference for the first time. The ecoplus team complemented the Austrian offerings of the Vienna Business Agency and the Austrian Business Agency ABA showcasing the diverse opportunities of Lower Austria to an international audience. Leading the Austrian presence was the WKO, which united all activities in the Austria Pavilion under one roof.
As one of the three stand partners, the ecoplus Lower Austria team welcomed the multitude of expected visitors to their stand. Three business areas of ecoplus – Invest in Lower Austria, Work in Lower Austria, and Digitalization – were represented on-site, advising visitors both at the stand and in pre-arranged matchmaking meetings.
Particularly noteworthy were the two stage shows by ecoplus Invest in Lower Austria, which provided visitors with insights into the topics of Deep Tech - Aerospace, AI and Digitalization - as well as Green Tech. For the latter, the Lower Austrian start-ups Vertus Energy and Numy Foods presented their innovative and sustainable solutions setting new standards in the Green Tech industry.
The event was a great success and offered an excellent opportunity to present the success stories and groundbreaking technologies of regional pioneers from Lower Austria to a broad audience. Numerous valuable contacts were also made with innovative companies interested in the business location of Lower Austria.
