Accessability statement
ecoplus, LOWER AUSTRIA`S BUSINESS AGENCY, IS COMMITTED TO MAKING ITS WEBSITE COMPLIANT WITH THE Lower Austrian ANTI DISCRIMINATION ACT 2017 (DIRECTIVE (EU 2016/2102), IN PARTICULAR THE SECTION “BARRIER-FREE ACCESS TO WEBSITES AND MOBILE APPLICATIONS” AND THE FEDERAL LAW ON BARRIER-FREE ACCESS TO WEBSITES AND MOBILE APPLICATIONS OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT (WEB ACCESSIBILITY ACT WZG) BGBL. I.No.59 /2019 TO BE MADE ACCESSIBLE WITHOUT BARRIERS.
STATUS OF COMPATIBILITY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS
This website www.ecoplus.at is compatible with the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 or with the applicable European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) with conformity level AA.
NON-ACCESSIBLE CONTENT
The content listed below is not barrier-free for the following reasons:
Incompatibility with accessibility regulations
All images used on the website have alt texts and copyrights, but the copyright notices directly in the image are not optimal due to the small font size and the sometimes lacking contrast. The WCAG success criteria 1.4.3 (contrast) and 1.4.4 (scalability of text) are not met.
Disproportionate load
Our videos are hosted and published on the video platform YouTube. It is not technically possible to provide the required audio descriptions for some of these older videos (created before 2021 and still available on YouTube). This means that WCAG success criterion 1.2.5 (audio description recorded) is not met. We are of the opinion that remedying this would represent a disproportionate burden in terms of accessibility regulations. All current videos currently available on the website are now only offered with subtitles.
Due to the legal obligation, some downloads must be offered; these are not consistently implemented barrier-free due to frequent updating, age and partial document length. These few PDF documents are not tagged so that they cannot be read and used by screen reader users, or only to an insufficient extent. This means that WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 (name, role, value) is not fulfilled.
The contents do not fall within the scope of the applicable legal provisions
Content from third parties, such as reports, studies and presentation documents from our partner network, which are not within the sphere of influence of ecoplus, are excluded from the EU directive. No statement can be made regarding the compatibility of this third-party content with accessibility regulations.
CREATION OF THIS ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
Creation date: This declaration was created on 10.12.2024.
The declaration was last reviewed on 10.12.2024.
The assessment of the compatibility of the ecoplus website with the Lower Austrian Anti-Discrimination Act 2017 for the implementation of the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 was carried out in the form of multiple user tests by ecoplus employees and the Acolono agency shortly before the website went online in December 2024. It is planned to carry out an external accessibility audit at the beginning of 2025 with a review of the 10 most important pages, where any deficiencies will be remedied and exceptions listed here.
New page content is regularly checked by the web editors when it is published using the WAVE tool.

The complaints are examined by the FFG to determine whether they relate to violations of the provisions of the Web Accessibility Act, in particular deficiencies in compliance with the accessibility requirements, by the federal government or an institution attributable to it. If the complaint is justified, the FFG must issue recommendations for action to the federal government or the legal entities concerned and propose measures to remedy the deficiencies in question.
