With our regional funding, we support investments in economic and tourist infrastructure as well as tourist leading projects that make a special contribution to regional economic development on behalf of the state of Lower Austria. For more than 35 years, we have been supporting you in the implementation of your project idea from the initial consultation through to funding processing - with experience and expertise!
Regional funding is an important instrument for strengthening the economic and tourism dynamics in our province. In accordance with Lower Austria's economic and tourism strategy, we promote tourism and business-related infrastructure projects that provide impetus and create added value for the entire region.
Regional anchoring and networking as well as the use of regional resources are key aspects of our regional funding. The projects are developed directly in the regions. This is because local people know best what is needed in order to continue to grow. Together with the regions, we strengthen regional value creation and secure and create jobs.

From the region for the region
The aim of the ecoplus regional funding program is to strengthen Lower Austria's economic, social and cultural regions - especially its rural areas.
The focus is on funding regional potential. This promotes both the individuality of the individual regions and their diversity.
With the funding priorities we have set, we want to provide sustainable support for the further development of the regions. The projects that we support must therefore meet appropriate quality criteria.
We fund
- TOURIST INFRASTRUCTURE: upgrading and enhancing the attractiveness of tourist infrastructure such as cycling and hiking trails, year-round operation of mountain railways
- TOURIST LEADING PROJECTS: tourist attractions and excursion destinations such as nature parks or adventure worlds, strengthening the cultural tourism offering
- ACCOMMODATION: Support for the establishment of accommodation establishments as part of beherbergung.aktiv
- ECONOMIC INFRASTRUCTURE: Trade fair and start-up centers, technology and research centers
- BUSINESS AREAS: (Intermunicipal) business and industrial parks, climate-friendly site development & business park renewal
- LEADER: Implementation of the EU co-financed LEADER 2023-27 funding program as part of rural development
